I’m Astrid M. Obert, a Munich-based photographer, creative
director and visual storyteller with more than 30 years of
experience across editorial, fashion, lifestyle, brands and
visual identity.
I’m not just a photographer. I’m a creative director, a
strategist and a visual storyteller who sees what others
don’t.
Clients don’t book me for standard visuals. They book me for
my eye, my instinct, my visual language and the way I
translate people, brands and ideas into images with presence.
My work begins long before the camera is in my hand. I
develop concepts, moods, storylines, shot lists and visual
direction. I shape atmosphere, guide talent, select locations
and create imagery that feels emotionally true, visually
distinctive and aligned with the person or brand behind it.
Over the years, I have worked with international brands,
magazines, publishers, founders, experts, law firms, medical
practices and creative businesses. Alongside commissioned
work, I have also created personal and artistic bodies of
work that have been published, licensed and sold in different
contexts.
My approach combines artistic intuition, editorial thinking
and strategic clarity. Whether I create editorials, fashion
stories, brand imagery, expert presence or selected films,
the goal is always the same: to create visuals that are not
generic, but memorable, human and unmistakably aligned.
